Tompkins Insurance has been awarded the “Best Practices Agency” designation by the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA). The agency was selected as part of an elite group of the top-performing independent insurance agencies across the country based on its operational excellence in customer retention, growth, stability and financial management.
To qualify for the honor, Tompkins Insurance was first nominated to participate in the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”) “Best Practices” Study for being a top performer. Out of the 1,300 agencies from across the country nominated for the study, just 267, including Tompkins Insurance, went on to participate and were ultimately named a Best Practices Agency.
Each year, IIABA and Reagan Consulting join forces to study the country’s leading agencies in six revenue categories. The agencies comprising the study groups are selected every third year through a comprehensive nomination and qualifying process and awarded a “Best Practices Agency” designation. The selected “Best Practices” agencies retain their status during the three-year cycle by submitting extensive financial and operational data for review each year.
