A Message from the President: Important Information About Office Re-openings in New York and Pennsylvania
As your hometown insurance partners, we continue to be here for you as we work hard to rebuild our communities, together. I wanted to take the time to give you a brief update about our plans for reopening our office locations.   Tompkins Insurance remains steadfast in its commitment to the welfare of our customers, employees and communities. Throughout the pandemic, our team has been working around the clock to ensure that the insurance needs of our customers have been met with the highest level of attention. We have looked forward to the day when we can reunite with clients face-to-face, and we are pleased to announce that as of June 22 and June 29 many of our New York and Pennsylvania office lobbies, respectively, began to reopen with certain safety protocols. We ask that you refer to the list below for office availability as well as safety protocols:   In Western New York:
  • Our offices located in bank branches will be open and staffed with an account manager for business, however the entry doors will remain locked for the time being. You will be greeted at the door by a member of the bank branch staff who will take you to the insurance account manager. These locations include: Amherst, Arcade, Caledonia, Chili, Geneseo, Greece, LeRoy, Perry, and Warsaw.

  • Our offices in Alden, Attica, Brockport, Dansville, Nunda and West Seneca will not be open, and will continue to conduct business by appointment only for the time being. Please make an appointment if you wish to see an account manager in person.

In all locations, whether the lobby is open or you are visiting by appointment, please note the following safety protocols that will be in place:
  • Face coverings will be required for entry (you may be asked to temporarily lower your mask for identification purposes).
  • Social distancing of six feet will be required once you are inside. Floor markers will be placed to provide direction.
  • Sanitation centers will be located at every lobby entrance. We encourage every visitor entering our buildings to utilize these stations.
  • Germ shields will be placed at all teller stations and desks.
  • If capacity limits are reached, you may be asked to wait outside of the branch or office for a time. Your patience in that situation is appreciated.
We thank you for understanding the necessity of these changes as we work through this, together.   Please watch for future updates on the status of operations in both NY and PA on our website and social media pages.
